Am I off my head?

This may seem really weird to many but i am currently in the process of making a short animation based on typographic letterforms. I have been looking into individual letters within a typeface and what characteristics and personality they posses.

My current results has almost proven that we could represent actual human characters within a story by using only one letter from a certain typeface. I feel its another way of looking at type perhaps, but a fun way, not only for myself, but for the audience, and i could have great fun with the treatment of some letterforms.

Check it out, and tell me what you think? Does this seem a fun and interesting idea? or am i off my head! it just seems like it could work and could be quite quirky!!

What do you think?

My idea is to find out weather characters within a typeface have more personality and character when on their own, not in a word with other letters.

Do we recognize their individual quality much more?

when on their own do we study the form of the letters in more detail as we are not distracted by other letters?

Do components such as Ascenders, Counter, eye, fillet, ear, loop, leg, stem etc give it a individual personality?

Does this allow us to make more assumptions and comments on what the letter form communicates to us?

Can individual characters have more human character when on their own as we notice certain attributes when may not of seen when arranged with others?

any comments?

Communicating through type

Can anyone find examples of any typographic corporate identities which communicate a certain message or feeling about them?

For example HSBC below, Professional, Calm, Safe, Respected, Upmarket, Welcoming

Can you find any other examples that do this?

Any help would be much appreciated people

Typographic Characters as human characters!!?

Hello people, just a bit of fun and extremely useful for my dissertation research!

can anyone find a font or a single character from a font that would represent a human being? does a typeface or a single character represent yourself and your emotions?

An example: The font Baskerville, the letter g in lowercase: Fragile, gentle, delicate, soft, lightweight, fashionable, fun.

Businesses and companies choose a font that represents themselves and what they do, why cant a font represent us!!!

Look Forward to your response
