I’m designing a portfolio, but not graphic design but more product design. Mercury is quit ok.
I use gotham as title and a serif font for the text.

What are you designing?

Without much to go on, maybe consider another H&FJ face, like Mercury or even Archer. I just finished reading a book that paired one or two weights of Gotham with Caledonia, to nice effect.
