Hello:

Contact Carter&Cone (Matthew Carter’s foundry) via email or telephone:

http://www.carterandcone.com

Ask for Big Figgins pricing.

Mikey :-)

PS... Big Figgins also has three styles roman, italic, and an open face.

Hello Mikey.

Yes, I am sure Big Figgins is lovely. The version I have in my possession is Elephant and Elephant Italic. Elephant Italic has some really awkward moments. Do you know where I can purchase Big Figgins? I can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks!

Carl

Hello there:
I own Big

Hello there:

I own Big Figgins and it has many kerning pairs. As I have used it more and more I have come to notice there is not a single curve out of place—I happen to think it’s perfectly harmonious.

There are not too many Bodoni/Figgins interpretations that are as good. The only one I can think of is not released just yet:

http://www.christianschwartz.com/brunel.shtml

Also here is a script I use to test the kerning in the fonts I own—here; set in Big Figgins Roman:

Mikey :-)

Newer version of Matthew Carter's Elephant.

Hello.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a newer / better version of Elephant / Big Figgins. I am looking for a stylized Bodoni much like it, but with nice kerning pairs, and a little bit ’updated’.

Thanks.
