It must be Academy Engraved by Vince Whitlock, designed for Letraset (1989) and now available from Linotype & ITC
Your sample is modified by filling the letter interior.

You're right that it's >very< similar, but I don't think that's it. I set this type long ago, can't remember what face I used, but almost certainly would not have filled the engraved face. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance...
