... And has been for weeks?
We all have the Chinese spammers to thank for that. That being said, why isn't something more proactive being done to prevent it? Several times I have considered just not bothering with Typophile because of the problem; it's very frustrating.
Not to sound harsh but, hopefully this is Punchcut's one and only gig.
Maybe I'll come back in a few weeks. Right now I can't be bothered/don't have the time to waste.
Maybe I'll come back in a few weeks. Right now I can't be bothered/don't have the time to waste. It's like using the slowest dial-up ever from the 1980's.
Slow? What I've found is that it's down most of the time.
I would like to mark the happy (?) fact that this is the first time in over a week that I have the opportunity to read a post on Typophile. Not for lack of trying.
This ‘speed’ problem needs to be solved soon.
Hope the problem will be solved by October 17, when the US government will have about $30 billion of cash on hand?!
Yes indeed. I do not know how the situation is in the States, but here in Germany I mostly get an ‘Internal Server Error’ when I klick on the RSS feed messages.
I'd just about given up on the site, but today at least it seems much better.
It seems to be back, after weeks down.
Aside: If you get an error when posting, it's safer to assume that the posting got through and it was the page builder that blew it.
But with increased spam activity.
Until you spend 20 minutes parsing dictionaries for Hungarian words beginning with ű only to have Typophile eat it. :p
