please help me ID this typeface, THANKS!

There are 2 fonts matching your sample (if you make them a bit bolder):
http://Stringline - Copyright (c) Nick Curtis, sign DNA 1970
http://Perisphere also by Nick-Curtis (2000)
but I can't find a legitimate source to acquire them.

Perisphere (Regular) looks spot on, thanks. I'll see if I can find it out there. I tried for hours to find, should have come here first!! Really appreciate the effort

See the message of Oldnick above; he is the designer of the fonts and he gave you the correct link to Stringline font ;)
