Traditional monogram structure?

Traditional monogram structure?

For a traditional 3 initial monogram, is the following a proper structure?

Left letter - first name initial
Right letter - middle name initial
Central letter - last name initial, usually larger than the left or right

Does that sounds about right?

Thanks George. I've seen that link before, but I've also come across examples where a monogram for a male was as I described in my post. In the link above, that structure is used for a woman's monogram. You see my conundrum?

I didn't read everything at the link I provided, but I agree that your description is most likely the logical one so would be most preferred.

Thanks George. I hope that after all my research I am right, or my whole identity redesign goes down the drain. ;)
