'Libertad' by Fernando Díaz, only us$29.9 for a limited time. Hope you like, thanks for the support!
Thanks for the support
Looking excellent, good luck with it!
Thank you Queneau! Fingers crossed
Looks nice. How is the Italic "experimental"?
The 'experiment' here was mixing a fairly geometric regular, with a more calligraphic italic. To make them different enough have an interesting typographic color, but blending in well.
Many font foundries don't do real italics anymore, that way they can commercialize the font sooner.
So, as I wanted the typeface to 'stand out', I spend more time working on the italics than on the regular versions, which was a first for me! :)
Italics are always harder to draw. You’ve done a good work.
I actually went ahead and bought this. The price is a total steal for what looks like it could well function as my personal design workhorse for a good while. (I'm unemployed and low on cash, and it's only my third ever font purchase. So that's not faint praise!)
Thanks Sim & Birdseeding,
Yes, I know it's cheap, it has an 80% off, but that's the way the market works today... hopefully in the future if I can get a reputation for my (fairly good) quality fonts, and that way I could increase the price... right now I have to work hard and try to make a lot of fonts and get sales.
But, this way, it is fairly working for me just working from type design.
Kind regards and thanks for the support!
I really like the closed ampersands, the italic one in particular!
I too, just bought this (a steal, thanks Fernando). The roman is similar to Mike Abbink's 'Milo' but the italic is something else altogether, beautiful.
Thank you all for the feedback!
Now it's available at MyFonts too, and you can test it as desktop and as a webfont:
