OK. I know this one. But my book will have a different intention. It will be released in the "index"-series (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1581801467 ) and as such it will be that little helper for choosing fonts for a specific purpose.
So are there any fonts out there that are not in IndieFonts (yet)?
Hi Sylvia, of course I know what fonts and foundries are out there. I just started this thread to ask if there is anything brand new or upcoming I may have missed. I am a little bit astonished that I get only little response to my question in this board of hundrets of typedesigners from all over the world. The major foundries seem to understand the marketing effect of such books much better and already supported me in this project.
There is also a second Indie Fonts book due this July which will include the following foundries:
Atomic Media Feliciano Type Foundry Galapagos Holland Fonts Identikal Ingo Fonts, Jukebox Fonts MvB Fonts Neufville Nick's Fonts No Bodoni Typography Parkinson Type Design Mark Simonson Studio Sherwood Type Collection Storm Type Foundry Terminal Type Design Underware Union Fonts You Work for Them
I don't know about any of the others, but I have quite a few new releases planned to be out by the time this book hits the streets.

Ralf, to be honest, if you don't know the answer to this I have to question whether you're really the person to be compiling such a guide.
There are lots of independent foundries that are not in the IndieFonts book that do good work, and even some that are.

There are also many mid-sized foundries:

Once in a while I post a list of interesting
new fonts at Typographica:
Sep 2002
Nov 2002
Feb 2003
May 2003
Also, take a look at the UNSEEN dept. in the sidebar for
stuff that's been around but you may have missed. That
list changes once or twice a month.
