Bible App font recommendations
+1

I'm a product designer for a Bible App and in the near future i'd like to update our font options.

I'm looking for typefaces that are very readable at small sizes, have some emotion to them and don't feel too antiquated. Would love to know what recommendations the community at typophile would recommend for serif and sans serif typefaces. We also need to provide support for as many languages as possible. We're on ios, and android devices.

Licensing is also very important. I'd prefer a type foundry that doesn't charge by how many downloads the app has, as it's pretty large.

Thanks!

(WARNING: Shameless plug ahead.)
Something sober, of a subtle character, and highly readable? You might consider my Patria.
If interested, please email me: hpapazian thatsymbol gmail dot corn (that's code of course... :-)

Perhaps Milo Serif by Michael Abbink (FontFont), which has been used for a Bible project (see Fontsinuse: https://fontsinuse.com/uses/8924/schuyler-quentel-esv-bible )

Great ideas. Keep them coming. Love both examples.
