Could anyon help me with this font-id

thanks alot

I thought so too. But the legs of the R are too short to make it Avenir.

Unless it's one of those cruelly man-handled faces.

Yeah, you're right Karen - it doesn't seem to be Avenir. Not only the legs of the R are short, the stroke on the right leg seems to have a slight variation of width.

It's 5:20 AM here... sleepy type spotting isn't healthy :-)

How about Neutraface?

Neutraface

It seems too bold, but that might be just due to the very huge size.

Where did you get the sample from?

Nah, it doesn't look like Neutraface either.

It's 4.30pm here. I'm a sucky identifier caught without an excuse.

Oh well, sucky or not, I believe some sleep is in order for me :-)
Also, note that this is my 100th post - quite impressive since I lurk most of the time :D

I'm sure this will be cracked by the time I wake up. Hey, who knows I'll dream of type and wake up in a haste to post?

Yves, I'm pretty sure this is Gotham Bold.

-- Kent.

Yves --

Gotham Bold, right?

-- K.

"unless it's one of those cruelly man-handled faces" - :-(

David Hamuel

Boo hoo. I was so close!!! Neutraface and Gotham are always mentioned in the same breath!

Do I get points for this, Yves, please? Oh it rhymes.

(I think my excuses are getting more creative.)

David, this one hasn't been manhandled, so it's OK. But I'm surprised at the number of "professionally" done logos with squished or squashed fonts.

Hey, does this mean that these typefaces are all very close to Avenir? The more I look at it, the more I like it.

Hey, I'm still looking too, yaknow. Then we'd all be sucky.

It's not Geometric 415/Metro neither. This is very weird,
because apart from the "R" this sample just screams
Avenir to me.

Adriano, check your status: by your next post you'll
be promoted to "Typophile Regular". Congratulations.
:-)

Of course! Damn Kent, you're good!

Gotham is too recent for me, and as I have no printed
samples, I haven't 'filed' its charasteristics in my
memory yet. Good thing we have you around.

Don't forget Mark's Proxima Sans!

Looks like Avenir Black.
