Hi Typos,

Looking for longhaired/rounded brush script faces that have a character/personality similar to Veer and SpeakUp’s custom logotypes as well as Underware’s new font, Bello.

Oldies, but goodies:

Zennor

Nearly anything by Alejandro Paul.

Or you can ask Laura Messeguer to design you own lettering. Check this one...

Thanks people. These are all fine examples. I love the Peralta logotype. Does anyone have any information about the SpeakUp and Veer logotypes? Who did them, when, etc.?

Looks like the Speak Up logo info is missing in their colophon, but it’s probably a font and maybe a Paul/Koziupa joint.

SpeakUp was drawn by the hand of Michael Clark

Thanks Tiff! There are few that can draw two ’p’s with such consistency and he’s one of them.

Oh, Stewf. I’m sure you knew it was Michael Clark and only had a momentary lapse of reason.

Yup... Michael Clark did our logo. A pleasure to work with I might add. I think I basically said “I want something that looks like this (Underware’s logo) and this (Veer’s logo)”. Sometimes it’s not necessary to reinvent the wheel when someone has already figured out how to make it turn.

And I think Veer’s logo was drawn by Sheldon Popiel, Veer’s Creative Director.

Thanks for creating that site, Ale! His work is stellar, and it’s nice to see some lettering samples. I’ve only seen the fonts.

Simple navigation suggestion: make it so the user can click the image to move to the next, that way they don’t have to hunt and peck the next tiny number.

And do not forget the excellent designs and revivals from Andreas Seidel and Ingo Preuss. Lots of Opentype.
