Best type for Lunar Probe :-)
Tomorrow morning I will submit to the greatest indignity in the name of medical science and my wife's constant urging. I will be getting a Colonoscopy!
In an attempt to lighten up the Lunar landing and get a chuckle from the doctors and nurses (who will have the unearthly thrill of injecting large plumbing objects where the Sun don't shine on my "best side"), I am taping a sign on my lunar landing site. Since I have never made one of those posts so often seen here on Typophile "What is the best font for...?", I thought now was the time to ask:
What is the best font for "Lunar Landing Site"?

:^P Oh sheesh. What about Lunar Orbiter from T-26?
or
Full moon

I started the ball rolling above with my own "Align" but perhaps something more penetrating is in order :-)

Good one Tiff. Is it one of T-26's rising stars?

I see "this topic has been moved". I guess it is not appropriate for General audiences--it may not even be PG:-)

:^P well, it is a type suggestion question, so those all go into the design area. :^P

Good Luck, Dez. BTW.

Thanks Tiff!

This has got to be the strangest request I've seen.
If it's any comfort, I'm sure they've done thousands of "lunar landings" so I'm sure you'll be in good hands. Good luck.

Thanks Chris!
BTW, Somehow Gavin McKenzie's WTF graphic post seems to fit:

As Bill Whitehead (now retired), who I used to work for, was fond of saying, "Nick, all around a pig's arse is pork. But not the (w)hole of it." I never could figure out what that meant, put it sure sounded wise.
14.Dec.2005 5.15pm
LOL!!!
I guess the (w)hole was the counterpunch :-)

Hey Dez! Been there, done that.
T'aint so bad... it's better than an Alien Abduction Probe! =o
WARNING... THERE ARE GAME SPOILERS BELOW.
Anyway... tomorrow is not the best part. It's TONIGHT when you're dancing La Cucharacha hoping to duck tape your cheeks together!!!!!
Did they ask you to gulp down some nasty tasting swamp water to get the plumbing flowing?

10 replies later I finally checked this post out and I was rather surpised at the topic, haha being 20 this is not something I've ever even thought about. Good luck, oy!

"Did they ask you to gulp down some nasty tasting swamp water to get the plumbing flowing."
Yes, I just drank a swiney sweel of it and am waiting for the launch to begin. How long does it take for the ship to sail?
Somewhere here if I say "Gotta run!" you will know what I mean :-)

In due time you too will get to sit on the throne of geezerhood--till then, sit tight :-)

I found if you drink a glass of water now and then the "tide flows" swifter... Haarrrr, this sounds like pirate talk again.
Tomorrow, if you're doctor is the Marquis de Sade, you'll have the option to watch the show on the "telly-vision" while he goes spelunking. Kinda like National Geographic meets Fantastic Voyage.
Relax and enjoy the show! ;-)

I think tey are knocking me out for it.

I thought about adding something about avoiding descenders that go too far below the baseline, but I don't generally do blue material...
14.Dec.2005 8.49pm
It may be the assenders that we might want to avoid:-)

I'm sure it'll all come out in the end.
