Does anyone have the information about the serif font used in body text and headlines in Frame Magazine (www.framemag.com).

I can't find it anywhere, maybe it's a customized font for the magazine's use only..?

Thanks in forehand,

Mike

Mike, is it possible to scan a page from the magazine, because the cover on the website is tiny.

I'd really love to but for some reason I can't make the attachment thing happen…

Mike

Hi Mike - download the media kit pdf from the site - the fonts used in that are listed - loads of them - a real type salad as we used to call it. I think the one you mean is Herman's Zapf International. Chris Mitch

can you tell me where abouts where the font page is placed on the pdf, cant seem to find it..lol
thanks

You can find list of fonts in a pdf at File->Properties (mac: apple D).

Hi all.

This thread is old but I can fulfil the request.

Frame use a font called Scotch Modern. http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/shinn/scotch-modern.

Example here in the mag:

They use a second typeface for headlines that I can't recognize (light and bold sanserifs ones in the image):

Can someone identify it ?

Thank you.

Carlos.

I’d say it’s Gotham.

When Scotch Modern was released, this thread was already two years old. Frame Magazine obviously has changed since.

Thank you Jan. That is right, I've checked. Gotham Black.

@Florian : For sure. they use Scotch Modern in the issue 73 / Mars-April 2010. The photos I've posted above come from this issue. I haven't noticed the thread was filled. Anyway.

No problem. It’s good additional information for those interested in Frame’s typography. Thank you.
