Ray DaBoll, Walter Brudi, Rudolf Koch, Alfred Linz, Oldrich Menhart, Herbert Post, George Salter, Ernst Schneidler, Villu Toots, Georg Trump. Never mind the flippancy of the title; these are some of Carl Rohrs' biggest heroes. Most of them were type designers, most of them were teachers, and all of them were calligraphers of startling originality.

Recent digging has unearthed more of the work of some of these geniuses. This course examines hard-to-find examples of work from each of them and combine it with modern calligraphic moves from all of our tools
