Can someone help me identify this font? thanks!

That's Neon Lights, and it's free. For my money, however, I like Letraset's Chromium 1 better.

The font is also known as Quicksilver & Quantum

Quicksilver is the original Letraset name for it. Chromium One is a different Letraset font along similar lines.

It also appears that Letraset's Quicksilver is only available in the form of crummy unauthorized free fonts.

Here's another chromium rounded geometric sans. I seem
remember this one from old rub-down lettering catalogues,
but don't ask me its name...

Yup, an unfortunate fate for quite a few typefaces it seems...

P.S. Once upon a time Bitstream had digitized it -- also, OPTIFONTS had it.

as i mention in a couple other locations, i'm posting on flickr examples of quicksilver i collected with more to come.
