From a book jacket:
Which book jacket?
I was stupid and didn't take a picture of the whole jacket - type designers are content-challenged I guess. But the store where it's at is very close to me, so the next time I drive by it I'll emergency-park, jump in, take a photo and scram, at the expense of being too embarassed of ever showing my face in that store again. :-)
Or I can call them and ask.
BTW, I just realized what that "g" reminds me of: the voluptuous* succubus
that somebody at House once drew. Does anybody have an image of that?
* Do they make them any other way? Are there waify succubi?
Reminds me of the Cooper Black Ligatures we did here on Typophile and Chris' pre-Froggy _gg_ ligs.
OK, it's "My Story" by Ryan Giggs (Manchester United).http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/0863699677/ref=dp_image_0/103-51...
hey Hrant, what typeface is that originally? thanks :)
..."as told to..."?
It is the cat's meow :-)
Reminds me of the Cooper Black Ligatures we did here on Typophile and Chris’
hehe, i could imagine an alternative froggy ligature | left side : devil, right side: angel
'i could imagine an alternative froggy ligature | left side : devil, right side: angel'
what would that look like Poms? give me a visual so i can get an idea. I have got somethingin mind but would like to know if i'm right in thinking what your thinking hehe :D seems interesting :D
Would that be a g-ring? :-)
yin and yang, the froggy style .)
btw the red devils is the official nickname of Manchester United (many more unprintable ones exist) hence the horny g.
"what typeface is that originally?"
That's Cooper Black.
The font is Cooper Black.
Tim, horned "g". :-)
Or since it normally has one (at least when Goudy
made them) maybe we should call this "bicorn"!
That really sounds corny Hrant :-)
