Linda, May there be peace wherever the Spouse may take you.
All the Best for All
I’m not into the Christian part of xmas or any of the hype, but I try hard to live by these principals. “Human is” —- to forgive, to empathize and have compassion for others, no matter what you believe personally.
In other words, it’s okay to differ—-diversity is strength & richness in any community—-as long as after all is said and done we can put aside our ideology and be human, forgive each other’s errors and faults, and try to see each other’s point of view.
That’s not hiding behind a veil of relativism, but an explanation of empathy.
Sheez, is that dead people hanging from a tree? I guess every family celebrates in different ways.
I don’t place a lot of stock in christmas either, it doesn’t really seem to be much about forgiveness and mercy, but, to paraphrase, ’Greater love has no-one then the man who dies for his mates (aussie slang = friends)’, that’s what I like about it, remembering the birth of the man who went on to do just that,
Happy Christmas, God give us peace
’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was hinting, not even with a mouse;
The proofs were stacked in the office with care,
In hopes that Robin Nicholas soon would be there…

Missing L, old typographic/pronounciation christmas joke, the entire alphabet but no L (Noel, French, from Latin, for Christmas).
HNHOHEHL take on the kerning exercise, with NOEL inserted.
Vast Process http://typophile.com/node/28208?from=100&comments_per_page=50
Many Thanks Timd with Flowers
It seems that my understanding to Latin typographic/pronounciation is not better than yours to Arabic Calligraphy? But Do you think everything was clear to everyone before I asked?
Your English is much better than my Arabic.
I was confused by the Vast Process, I’m still not completely clear on it, the missing L joke is widely known, but apparently not widely enough for all Typophiles.
Aziz: having another language other than English is always a good thing. I just wish I spoke more than just English, French, and enough Spanish and Italian to get the necessities of life. ;-)

Olive Olive Olive! Long Live Long Live Long Live! Tim Daly,

Linda, though I can speak+write English, Malay, Persian, Arabic (Thai and Japanese before), I see the most communicative is Sign+Body Language.

Aziz - the process is vast is a poem I wrote - 4 words that sum it up for me.
The link timd supplied was the unedited version.

Long before I knew about the typographic missing “L,” I always thought that it meant that our planet should get the “L” out of stupidity. :-)
Anyone who doesn’t have English as their native language would certainly be forgiven for not knowing. :-)
