Certificate Borders
Hi all,
Has anyone come across any resources for Certificate Borders.
The best I found so far was this guy: http://www.artistmike.com/CertificateDesigns/1.html
He charges $25 bucks for each border (which isn’t outrageous, but I’d like to find a more affordable, preferably free resource if I could.)
Tutorials would be another great resource.
Border like these are more desirable:

Thanks Ben. I’ll give that a gander. I wasn’t even thinking Bank Notes or Engraved Patterns as a search query.

Find yourself a spirograph!

I figured there’d be a nice tutorial that shows you how to manipulate the Transform tool to recreate the spirals and stuff, and then show you how to create a seamless pattern brush out of it all.

This isn’t a tutorial, but a lightbox from iStockphoto. Vector Engravings.

What you want is available as the “Certified Borders” series at MyFonts, in which the frame components are broken down into the equivalent of letters in a font alphabet, which makes everything easier to control and compose:

I think those borders are not the same, but useful for other things just the same.
