No offense, but I can’t tell if you’re kidding or not.

I agree. Your fine art is very nice. Graphic design—not so much. Which is why I’m confused.
I’m starting to wonder if you’re here to mock graphic designers.

LOL!!!
I think you left out a few Photoshop filters :-)

Ok, so it’s definitely a joke of some sort. The poster is very funny and i’m sure you not trying to be mocking.

Genius, Pure Genius!
You forgot the Lens Flare.

Here’s an alternate version.
:)

I’m gob-smacked. Utterly.
12.Apr.2007 9.28am
Oh thank God. It took me a good 10 minutes to figure out if I should even comment or not. Then another 10 to think of what to say - this is the one time I’ve been left speechless!
Your fine art is very nice.
I think the word I would use is cool ;)
EDIT: Your second version looks like it needs a little more pizzazz.

I have to ask - couldn’t you manage to work in Comic Sans somehow?
I should add that v.2 is a vast improvement. I LOVE Zapf Chancery all caps.
12.Apr.2007 9.31am
the next level is to do the same in word art!
12.Apr.2007 9.32am
I once did a project entirely in MS Paint... my professor was bemused.
12.Apr.2007 9.35am
I had a client once hand me a draft presentation for a Fortune 500 company that used Balloon and Comic Sans, and had every letter a different colour, and he couldn’t figure out why I went into hysterical laughter. ;-)
12.Apr.2007 9.36am
why not make a MS Paint / Word Art / Photoshop Filters contest ?
12.Apr.2007 9.40am
Probably because there are too many candidates to choose from!
12.Apr.2007 9.41am
This deserves a nomination for most obvious in the humour section! You do lose points for not using either Comic Sans or Zapf Chancery in all caps though (good call, Patty) however.
Aside from a few filters left untouched, you still make a great chance of winning this round!
12.Apr.2007 9.49am
comic sans forever
12.Apr.2007 10.07am
Ahhhh, Mr Butterworth, now that is MUCH better :-)

Craig, I really think it is missing something. Have you tried using something metallic and/or reflective?
12.Apr.2007 10.37am
Shouldn’t it be: GRAPHICAL DESIGNS MASTER!
12.Apr.2007 11.02am
If only there was some way to add a techno soundtrack in photoshop... Until that day comic sans and a metallic finish will do.
Thanks for the comments.
Craig
12.Apr.2007 11.32am
Well, you could add a musical clip if you ported it into Acrobat.... ;-)
16.Apr.2007 1.36am
Craig, have you shown it to the guy who posted here recently looking for graphic clichés and overused lame tricks ?
I dunno why, but that thread seemingly disappeared without trace...
Any chance you could come and run a PhotoShop 101 course for us?
16.Apr.2007 8.47am
I quit.
16.Apr.2007 8.59am
Ben, I wondered the same thing. It didn’t seem too flame-y or anything.
16.Apr.2007 9.43am
Which thread disappeared?
16.Apr.2007 10.20am
Oh there was a thread started by some guy collecting overused design cliches. It was either in Design or General Discussions. It was kind of funny.
16.Apr.2007 10.47am
It was Kuroneko and he linked to it from this thread. Perhaps he removed it?

Craig, do you also make time travel gadgets by any chance?
16.Apr.2007 2.51pm
LOL!!!
I think he sells used Delorian parts though :-)
