(x) Goldfrapp logo - custom designed {Andrew J Sipe}
Hi guys,
Need some help here..
I need to figure out which font was used as a base for the goldfrapp logo.. Im pretty sure the designer based the logo on a existing font.. Anyone who can help me out?
thank you very much...

I don’t think this was based on a pre-existing font. The p’s are just inverted d’s. The line weight and end strokes are inconsistent. The G is just horribly outlined, and really bumpy. I think the l was flipped for some reason. The stroke on the o is as thick as the G.
If it was based on a font, it was then horribly mangled into what we see today.
I would believe that it was hand done and then scanned digitally.

Hmmm... According to this message board, the Goldfrapp logo is not based on an existing typeface:

What about Alison Goldfrapp? She is credited as the designer of the Felt Mountain artwork, no?
