If you are talking about a vasectomy, then you’ll want to milk it for more sympathy than it really deserves. Most people don’t know it isn’t that big of a thing. No implied pun intended.
Thanks all!
Luckily, it is not a vasectomy, it is cardiac catheterization. They insert their tube through an artery in your groin and pass it up to your heart to unblock the coronary arteries.
Well, off I go!
I just talked to Chris on the phone. He’s home and recovering well. We can look forward to his good humor and good fonts returning here on Typophile in a few weeks.
Dear all,
Thanks for the kind wishes!
It has been a trying few weeks. I just got out of he hospital an hour ago. I was in three times in the last 2 weeks. The first time they put a STENT in one of my coronary arteries and sent me home 2 days later. 2 days after that I was back in the hospital with chest pain. This time, they put 3 more STENTS in different arteries. They sent me home 2 days later and a day after that, I had serious chest pain again. My wife Ruth called the ambulance and back I went. they did another Thallium stress test and blood enzymes and found out that I had a very minor heart attack so back I went to the Cath lab for a third poke in the groin. This time, they just changed my medications. At least now I am home again and looking forward to a hospital free week.
Hope all works out and you have a swift recovery.
Things have gotten pretty boring here, and no one knows how to throw such perfectly pontificating punchy puns prolifically punctuated with pithy punchinello.
Welcome back pal.
Thanks all, I ’ll try to get my pun recipe book out as long as it is considered part of my heart-healthy diet. I have been banished to a low fat, low sodium, low sugar, low flavor diet. I guess they want me to learn to cook hospital food.

Luckily? They couldn’t find a place closer to the heart to start? I think I would have been trying to sell the virtues of the armpit for that.
; )
Best wishes for a successful treatment.

As an aside, http://www.pokeinthegroin.com doesn’t appear to be taken if your doctor would like to have an informational page.
