Friedrich Air Conditioning old logotype

Is the slab serif font of the old logotype for Friedrich Air Conditioning Co. custom made? It reminds me a bit of Beton, Stymie and in part Peter Bruhns Farao. The closest I've found so far is Clarity by Astigmatic but that's no match.

Anyone got a clue?

...and now I see that the dots over the i's are different too. This I think further speaks for a custom work?

Any suggestions?
