just looking at the dedass website, what is their body text font? the one that looks pixelly (sp)?

It’s plain ol’ Verdana with antialiasing turned off.
how do you turn off the antialiasing of a font?
It depends on your application. That site uses Flash, and there’s an option in the Text Properties box to do it.
