Fonts to befriend HFJ Didot
I am busy designing a new template for a magazine and was wondering if ayone has a great text font to combine with this beautiful Didot.HAve looked at Mercury text, Chronicle Text and Farnham...any groundbreaking ideas please?

The only problem for mating with Gotham is that—fantastic as Gotham really is—it’s getting overexposed. The thing is EVERYWHERE. When Yahoo! licenses your font and splashes it on their main page, have you jumped the shark in terms of cutting edge?
HF Didot looks great on its own merits, how about a retro suggestion? Univers.

Uh did I mention we are definately using Gotham in there with HFJ Didot, anyone’s thoughtson Mercury as text font with the above?

oh about Gotham being over-used ... I am in South Africa, and its not been that featured down here...lucky for me.

I can’t visualize Mercury, Didot, and Gotham all in one publication- perhaps you can post a mock-up.
BTW... Why not just use the 6pt or 11pt masters intended for text that come with HF&J Didot ?

beautiful body and the combination of that with Gotham and HFJ Didot is very beautiful n magazine. Not so sure about Didot as text font...irritates mea after paragraph 2

Very cool! Yes Freight is very beautiful for bodywork and think it will contrast nicely with Didot and Gotham.
