1. As part of Simon Fraser University Library's Special Collections series, 'Share the Enthusiasm' (collectors discussing their
collections/collecting), Paul Whitney, long time collector and head of the Vancouver Public Library, will speak on his collection of modern firsts, as well as his collecting of certain music and underground comix.
Title of the talk: 'Honey,It's Just Like Money in the Bank and Other Myths:The Confessions of a Modern Firsts Collector'.

2. Reidfest:An Evening to Celebrate Robert Reid --- His Typography, Graphic Design, Letterpress Printing
Reid printed Fraser Mines Vindicated (1949) --- the start of a very successful and very influential career in printing, teaching and
mentoring. His career continues. Join speakers Takao Tanabe, Charlie Mayrs, Peter McNally and Rollin Milroy to celebrate Reid's achievements.

3. Alcuin Wayzgoose (http://alcuinsociety.com/activities/WG2007.html)
Join us in celebrating, viewing and participating in BC book arts through recent BC private press activities (new books, broadsides...), demonstrations of bookbinding, paste papers, and suminagashi (Japanese marbled paper) along with works from book artists and works from students at the Emily Carr book program.
