I think that is custom type designed for Museum Boijmans in Rotterdam by Mevis and van Deursen with Radim Pesko

@james: it's not the Boijmans van Beuningen type.
I agree with visuatek that it's probably a stencil.

haha, it actually IS the BvB-font! Somehow I remembered it as being - less all over the place.
Anyway, if you look closely at the first image you provided, the sample text is on the second sign from the right!
