I’m trying to identify the logo used for the word “Tarragon” in this picture (a scan of a sweatshirt). I’ve found lots of similar fonts, but nothing quite right. I suspect that the “r” alternates may have been hand-drawn.

The logo dates from around the early to mid-70s, I believe, so hopefully that helps!

Thanks in advance ...

Just an addendum: Bookman Complete is digitally available at veer.com. With all the swishy swashy, created by Jason Walcott and based on the original designs of Alexander C. Phemister and Chauncey H. Griffith
