Modern Sans Serif Suggestion

I’m looking for a modern typeface (probably sans) that connotes performance, leadership and entrepreneurship; if it looked a little techy that wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

Right now, my closest faces are Neo Sans, Interface and Foco ... Trantino Bold Italic is close but looks a little dated, unoriginal.

Is there anything new or unexpected that someone can suggest.

It should be durable enough for web/motion graphics. This will be a brand’s primary typeface.

Thanks so much!

What about Variable? Apex sans?

I like Apex a lot, but it seems like it could have a little more personality and a stronger leadership quality.

Have you looked one of the “mothers” of all of these squarish look-a-like sans?

I am talking about DTL Argo.

Of course, anything is going to look dated when the only text you have seen it in references the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

DTL Argo is nice. I can’t believe I hadn’t tried that yet.

Did you check out the license prices?....

;)

Also by Gerard Unger, a similar sans: Vesta might suit your purposes and be more affordable.

Oh yes, Vesta is also nice, and rather similar to Argo aswell.

I agree, DTL fonts are very expensive, but I cant help it – I just love the clean design of DTL Argo.

If you like Argo, you will like Stalemate by Stefan Hattenbach.

Klavika is great; thanks for the suggestion!

Cross: I actually have Argo at work, so that’s a lifesaver. I was actually pricing something from TEFF earlier ... and I almost fell out of my chair!

Vesta is nice but a little low key. Stalemate is great, plus I love Fountain. Can anyone think of one that would make a good brandmark (i.e. a little more distinction/personality) as well?
