(x) "She's got thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband" sans - Gadget {Mike Y}
Note the serif on the S and the tapered top of the Y. Does anyone know the name of this one?

This is one of the Mac System fonts. I think it’s called Gadget.

It truly is a horrendous font, although without lowercase it’s not as dramatic. :^/

I have three Macs and this font isn’t on any of them, so is it really a System font?

Hi Simon,
is it really a System font?
yes, but that’s long ago, it showed up in System 8.5, according to this article on Macintosh System Fonts at Lowendmac.com.
Seems it has been made by Font Bureau, then.

I guess I should have made it balder, and more condensed, but there was a specification to follow.;)
Cheers!

Ouch.

Nah, not “Ouch”. “Touché” is more like it. ;^)
Yeah, I know — that’s the problem with speaking your mind on Typophile regarding your likes and dislikes of certain type designs. You’re bound to run into the designers sooner or later and sometimes it’s a totally unexpected person. :^P
But David knows I like (almost) all of his other designs, and he’s always been a good sport in our previous “run-ins”. I remember a hilarious response to a remark I made about how poorly Escrow was used in the new De Standaard.

Ouché then.
