I guess there have been threads on Typophile naming VAG alternatives or ’Rounded Fonts’ in general in the past, but you may like ’Omnes’, by Joshua Darden, and, ’Gotham Rounded’, by H&FJ. (And, of course, the newly released ’Unit Rounded’, by Erik Spiekermann.)

If I ever wanted a rounded type, i would go with Omnes, which David just linked to. Nothing else comes close to its elegance in this genre, IMO.

May I suggest Nick Cooke’s G-Type Chevin, FF Speak or Elsner+Flake Isonorm. Another great one would have been GE Insipira but you certainly know this is a General Electric custom proprietary font, so not available...

As often as this topic comes up, maybe a typowiki entry on rounded sans wouldn’t be a bad idea. Organized based on text and display perhaps?

It appears that i could have posted this topic in the wrong category and could have used Typowiki which to be honest, not being a regular user, i didnt know existed. So apologies for all these mistakes, will do better next time. :)

Actually, you’re post spurred the Typowiki entry. I’ve been part of posts in the past that asked this very question, so I figured it was a good idea.
