Looks like a didone that someone has tried to manipulate - and not that well. You might want to check out Perla instead.

hmm. maybe. i realize there are issues with this typeface, but I particularly like the m. Is there a typeface that is similar?

I reckon it started off as Walbaum roman.

Perhaps you like ball terminals.

The u has the unfortunate tendency to look like an a at a glance.

This isn’t from Muse, the band, is it? They’re climbing the scale of new music I’m liking these days (along with Menomena, Wolfmother and Jets to Brazil).

nope, not from the band. it was passed on to me from another designer - referencing a project i’m working on. but she can’t remember where she found it. so unfortunately, it hasn’t been modified... It’s a puzzle!

I’ve checked out the ball terminals link - thanks!!

Filosofia has ball terminals on the s and it is a modern/didone.

So the designer passed along a typeface to you or just that logo?

Hi jeanne, No puzzle, just someone who has unskillfully mangled a proper typeface.
