Hello,
I’m looking for some strong new bold slab serifs and condensed slab serifs, similar to Aachen. Is anyone working on something new or maybe seen something recently?

Thanks,
Nick

YouWorkForThem released Black Slabbath recently. Seems pretty trendy.

Wrigley by Matthew Carter

All of Carter and Cone’s fonts are expertly kerned by Matthew himself! Many foundries fail-big time in that area.

Ask Cherie Cone for a pdf sample.

I’m working on this semi slab (heavy) thing, but it’s taking me some time to finish. Especially because I’ve decided to incorporate also lower case. (I did some first LC roughs past week ... it was meant to be caps only.)

Thanks Dan. When it’s ready I’ll do a post in the “Release” section.

Peter Bruhn rethought Aachen for a Swedish newspaper. Perhaps we can persuade him to post some samples.

Slap Serif, I like that, sounds kinky.

I’m adding a bold weight to Agamemnon, but I don’t think it’s bold enough for this purpose. I may have to get on with a extra heavy or black weight, maybe.

You could take a look at Soho if you haven’t seen it.
