Can tell you this much, Chris: it’s no Swiss picnic getting pages to load from Athens either. Must be a traffic jam or three on the “information superhighway” (god-awful metaphor that it is). Άντε γειά for now.
The “Super Highways” cars drive on around here near Washington, DC move at the “Slug Pace” Ernie Kovacs pictured above so why would we expect the Ether variety to move any better:-)
At any rate, my greetings to you in Greece. I would wish you god-speed but that might not be any faster than what we have.
ChrisL
Actually, Tiff, it is a bit faster now. Maybe Joe and Jared put down their game toys and went back to scateboarding :-)
My guess is that the punchcut guys are hogging the bandwidth playing Guitar Hero on Xbox live.
They’re a bunch of UI design nerds, so it’s probably Rock Band. Guitar Hero is SO 2006.
Do you guys have spies in our office or something? The fact of the matter is, we are busy preparing for a Rock Band tournament, being held this evening in our new pad. Seriously - we’ll have pictures to prove it.
I don’t know why the site was slow, but typically in the morning hours (for PST) is our busiest time. We’ll take a look and ensure everything is running smoothly on the back end.

With me t-o-o Chris. It seems that when the n-u-m-b-e-r of those log on is around 250 and up, Typophile moves s-l-o-w-e-r (?)

See! They were downloading all the new Rock Band tracks!
