We’re into finals now, and my team has won two matches already. Looking good!

And on this side of the pond, the jury is still out on the broken bone in Saku’s foot. :-P He may well miss Thursday night’s match, but could be back after that.

Good luck to your lot: our local junior team won their first round rather convincingly and are tied 1-1 in the second.

Bruins are up against the wall, methinks — they’ve lost their last 12 straight (going back to January 2007 or some such) to the Habs: don’t hold your breath! ;-)

(We have a hardcore Bruin fan in this home as well — even he’s not convinced there’s much hope.)

Chris — it’ll be a long series, but you know my heart will be with the Craps. ;-)

I get to go the Caps playoff game tomorrow night! A sold out Hockey game in DC! I never even imagined it!

Darn, I’m jealous! I’ll be watching the game though — we get wall-to-wall coverage, with four games every night.... ;-)

Well, my team (Oulun Kärpät) are the official Finnish champions now with 4–1 in the final series. Didn’t even milk it all the way.

SoCal having the defending champs seems as silly as Iceland having the best camel racing team. But what the heck, Go Ducks! Beat your opponents soundly! We’re behind you 14.7%!

Oulu is in the north of Finland, that’s where my parents come from. Kärpät have a nice logo, a stoat (kärppä), so I’ve supported them over the local teams of my city of birth, Helsinki. Their logos consist of big cats and harlequins (two teams)

That is a nice looking logo! My hometown is Pittsburgh where the Penguins play. Their logo is the usual predictable thing and not as nice as yours above.

Well, Calgary’s in tough (big surprise), and Montreal is up 3-1 (no surprise). Mili: Word has it that Saku is going to try to skate in the next day or two!

Chris, as it turns out, Pittsburgh’s farm team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, are in the playoffs as well (starting tonight against Hershey), and the tix are cheap. I’m thinking about taking in a playoff game as a “distraction” from my class. ;-)

Nice to see le canadien lose the series in their own building (no surprise).

I didn’t get to see any of that series: where I was staying had no cable (and only one half-decent over-the-air channel with the rabbit ears), and neither of my two hotels had Versus on their cable package.

Did go to see the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins play Philly (the first game, which WBS lost, although they won the next four) though....

So how was Cunningham Falls?
