Muscle car typeface

Hello all,

I’m looking for a typeface to use on a 70’s muscle car inspired invitation. The invite will feature an illustration of a muscle car (Valiant Charger) and a cliched hot girl (think Daisy Duke).

Any suggestions on a typeface that might complement this illustration?

Cheers

Letterhead Fonts has a section dedicated to racing.

House Industries would also be a good place to look.

First thing that came in my mind was Accelerator from René Verkaart.

I think Font Diner might be a good place to look also. They have loads of great retro fonts.

I almost forgot about FF Trademarker.

I just did a book on Muscle Cars! That is so funny. The client didn’t want to go kitsch so I used Eurostile and Century Old Style.

House Industries definitely had some fun ones, particularly Global. I also looked at Magneto.

Sorry! I meant Bullet! Don’t know where I got Global. Brain freeze from the iced coffee I just drank perhaps.

Ehehe. Bullet would be a great choice for a muscle car.

Bullet was named Global when it was first released.
