My brother Lars and me just recently agreed upon ‘Highway to Hell’ being the best rock album of all times (don’t argue!). Since he is an electronics engineer I had this idea for a T-shirt for him. But - it doesn’t seem to work out. Top has the tightness of the original but the L isn’t legible very well. Bottom: L is OK, but is it still AC/DC enough (too loose, L punches a hole)?
What do you think? Is it just a nice idea but doesn’t work out?

Fun! (I won’t debate, but it is debatable. Led Zeppelin anyone?)
Why not the bottom of the first and the top of the second?
I think you can tighten the spacing overall too.

I SAID DON’T ARGUE ;-)

Thanks Miss Tiff. I tried already what you suggested. I didn’t like it.

Best use the bottom one. You don’t want people thinking it says “CARS”.

Note that the spacing of the whole thing is much tighter in the original.

I agree with Kevin on the Cars thing. What about the “bling” spots and zeroing the kerning on the bolt? I guess you already noticed that and decided it looks better this way .

The bottom L is more legible, but um, it looks like -

COL (cackle out loud - I think I scared the dog)

It’s a virile logo, is all I’m saying. OKAY?

The first logo does look like “CARS”... go with #2.

P.S.: The AC/DC logo used here was drawn by the great Gerard Huerta...

Finally, I don’t want to start an argument either, but I am high-fiving Miss Tiffany across cyberspace for mentioning Led Zeppelin! :-)

You rock, Tiffany!

Eben, that’s a good idea. I’ll try that. Thanks.

Ricardo, thanks for the information about the logo. Much appreciated.

Hmm...

I think the bottom one is probably better than Eben’s sketches (but I would still try it out though) - I just have a feeling the L will have too much of an arabic feel compared to the other letters if you go in that direction.

Not getting involved in an argument either but Miss Tiffany and Ricardo are absolutely right about Zeppelin (eventhough that statement is gonna cost me a couple of friends down under;-)

Ps: Don’t get me wrong ACDC is up there!-)

Just to make this clear:
I wasn’t talking about the best rock band ever. All I said was that ‘Highway to Hell’ is the best rock album of all times.

Yes, I know but I was curious what he decided on in the end and how it came out.

No. Not yet. It’s a spare time project.
