Hi,

I am about to start a book project and would like the type treatment to be based around 1970’s/80’s Americana Truck aesthetics. Also with the possibility of having a slightly feminine feel to it as the project is based around two blonde, truck driving sisters.

Any font recommendations would be great.

Thanks

Pass your mouse over these fonts at House Industries for display purposes:

Also have a look at Letterhead fonts... but I would hold off on purchases because he’s charging people extra... long story.

As for Text:

A Clarendon feels very American too me. But I’ll let other people provide you with American feeling text fonts.

Mikey :-)

Used to know a very nice young woman in Denton. She worked in the Peterbilt plant. I always liked that custom script.

James, I love that script also!

Mike, I think Letterhead was only charging extra for that one font, not all of them, and the price is now back to normal.

I, too, was going to suggest letterhead. Definitely read the EULA with an electron scope before any purchase, though. ;o)

No, he was charging extra for all of them. The $1000 font was just up yesterday.

But his prices seem normal now, so I will recommend this:
