DC Typophiles: You’re invited to the Corcoran thesis show!
The Corcoran design thesis exhibit (running concurrently with the all-senior exhibit) is on May 7, 2007 at 7pm, and you’re all invited. My thesis will be there (I’ve printed 1,000 of them!) along with 18 others. You can download a PDF invitation at: http://www.jpad.biz/pdfs/seniorexhibition.pdf

Good work! I’ll try to make it to the exhibit.

I will see if I can make it, James. My daughter will be getting her master’s degree in music composition in California around that time but if there is no conflict, I will try to make it.
Congrats!!!

Congratulations James!

James, I presume your new sans will be in OpenType, in which case you can offer oldstyle figures, which would strengthen your market appeal enormously, since the newest OT version of Trade Gothic, your nearest relative, does not offer OSFs as a globally switchable glyph option. Ditto ITC Franklin Gothic. Can we persuade you to add OSFs?

John, OSF are on the long list of things to add. I’m still a little unsure how I want to proceed about furthering the design; it may just be a sandbox for me to play with multiple masters, OpenType, and so on for a few years until I know what I’m doing and the font can be released.

Nice work, James and congratulations.

Way to go, James! Not sure if I can make it to my former stomping grounds for the event, but who knows.
