Goudy's Inspiration for Hadriano -- Photos?
Hey everyone,
I’m working on a typeface research project for school, where we have to design a poster that encapsulates the nature and personality of the typeface. I’ve chosen Frederic Goudy’s Hadriano. I’m looking for a photograph of the original stone tablet he took a rubbing from in the Louve for inspiration. Does anyone have any idea where I could find this? Better yet, a photo of the tablet in question? It would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much!

Look in the book “Alphabets and Elements of Lettering” by Frederic Goudy. Published by the University of California Press, 1952

Thanks for the response! He’s got the impression of the letterforms in that book, but no image of the tablet he was inspired by.

Here is what’s in “Alphabets and Elements of Lettering”, if anyone is interested. :)
