Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some new or interesting display serif fonts for editorial (mens magazine). I have been using Freight display and looking to try out something new. I love the simplicity of freight and cheltenham, and perhaps there are some new ones people have in the works or could suggest? Many thanks! Also, one with a lovely italic set would be fantastic!

thanks,
nick

I keep coming back to Jean François Porchez’s Ambroise. Anyone used it?

Blatant self-promotion here. You only see one style here but there are lovely italics to match.

Blatant self-promotion here: http://www.kentlew.com/WhitmDisOverview.html.

PDF here: http://www.kentlew.com/Type/WhitmanDisplay_Sample.pdf

You can see some of these styles currently in use in Fortune magazine (including the Whitman Display Italics not yet shown on the website or in the pdf). Available through the Font Bureau Studio library; scheduled for Retail release in the very near future.

Don’t know if this fits your bill or not.
