Wanted: San-Serif with short x-height and wide stance

Does anyone know of a typeface that fits this description? This seems like an easy find but I've had trouble finding many typefaces that meet these qualifications. I've been using Engravers Gothic BT in small caps which works pretty well, but I'm looking for something that's a bit more extreme. I don't think that I want an expanded face, since they tend to look too stretched. But something clean, short and wide would be perfect.

Anyone who has any ideas, please throw them out there.

Thanks.

I understand your point about extended humanist sans serifs. At a certain width, it's difficult to make a something with a rotund structure work without getting awkward. Better to keep fairly square and/or monolinear. In that vein:

Stainless Extended
Relay Wide
Vafle Extended

Not so small an x-height:
FF Clan Extended
Rhode Wide
Titling Gothic Wide and Extended
FF Cube Extra Expanded
Trade Gothic Extended
Eurostile Extended

OH THANKS Stephen. I have been looking for Stainless forever.
Well I wasn't looking for stainless by name but it was the Typeface used by 'Source Magazine' a few years ago for all their Heading Styles.

Thanks,

Anisette Petite is quite nice. I think it might fit your needs.

Thanks for all your feedback. I especially like the Stainless Extended. That's going to help me quite a bit.
