Between American Typewriter and Rockwell

Hello all.
I’m looking to an alternative / similar face to American typewriter.
as I like the way it feels handmade and a bit loose.
But something bothers me about the serifs.
But I don’t want anything as stiff as Rockwell but perhaps something in between?

It needs to ideally be a bit girly

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Cheers

I don’t know what your budget is, but Hoefler and Frere-Jones’ Archer may fit the bill...

Mr Brown, any particular reason for posting this thread twice?

We’re not blind you know. Have patience. Also try: hitting your browser’s refresh button more frequently, thank you.

James, I think it was a mistake. Both threads were posted at the same time, so he might just have accidentally hit submit twice.

I’ve noticed hiccups recently. Just have patience. No need to exaggerate.

You could also have a look at Nick Shinn’s Bodoni Egyptian.

Sorry folks. I’m just a little bit manic lately. Thanks for reeling me in. I’ll take a break from Typophile, eh? Best for all concerned.

Be nice to each other! And have a good thing to say.

I like the suggestions above. You could also try Serifa or Officina Serif.
