Handwriting font in former issues of POPmagazine
Hey guys, they changed the look and feel of POP some time ago, but this handwritten / painted font is quite good, any idea what it is?

Two different capital A’s.
Seven different lower case s’s, including what could be two different double-s ligatures.
I’d be very surprised (and impressed) if this is a font.

Yer, it looks like being actually painted because it is painted.
It’s not a font.

In that case they made a lot of effort since they used this typography for several issues both on the cover and inside... maybe a custom set of fonts or they scanned it... hence why it looks so nice and random... maybe somebody else has a suggestion on something similar?

Original brush lettering.

I don’t think it’s a custom font either, Pop really uses a lot of hand lettering. The cover lines and headlines are also all hand lettered in their current F/W 08 issue, albeit in a different style.

Another suggestion for a font if you don’t want to use hand lettering could be Lucrecia which comes with varying degrees of grunginess. It is somewhat scripty, unlike many other grunge-brush styles.
