It was announced in the news last week that Circuit City, a major US electronics retailer, has filed for bankruptcy protection amid a weak economy. According to CNN, the company plans to keep its remaining stores open through bankruptcy proceedings and encourages consumers to continue shopping at its stores.
Typophiles, how can you as type and/or graphic designers help Circuit City in these pressing times?

I have extolled the many of virtues of IKEA before, but did you know IKEA has a Swedish food market?
Get your Omega fatty acids from the land of Volvo, ABBA, and people with Legoland haircuts. Try the many seafood products IKEA supplies, particularly salmon fish—as frozen blocks, or cured and spiced as Gravlax filets, even in paste form. This leads me to my little font-in-use discovery:
Abba Seafoods (no relation to the dancing queens) uses FontSmith Albert for their product labeling.

Hi fellow typites,
could I get some advice on this brochure design please?
The brochure is called a thousand words. The idea is that it stresses the importance of words, following from the saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. The opening spread says ’some words are worth a thousand pictures’. We have chosen an illustrative style made up of text which I am quite happy with. I am just still wandering how to treat the type on the opposite page. At the moment it is just white out and quite structured which is in contrast to the more chaotic illustration style. Does it need more creativity? is it too clean? does the colour take the emphasis from the illustrations?
any feedback much appreciated!

I’m rebranding myself really soon, and my company name will potentially be called ’Flo’ (variation of Flow).
I already got some great feedback, but I was looking for some professional design comments.
————-
My main questions are:
1- Is this legible? Does it really need to be once the potential client already knows my company name?
2- Since the word is so short (how I like it) and with the font, can it potentially be mistaken for Arabic writing or a symbol?
3- I think the beauty is in the simplicity, I guess it would just be a matter of how I’d apply it.
I’m loving it at the moment, but of course, I’m trying not to until I get good feedback and reassurance from a new set of eyes! :)
(forgive the size, I’m using FLONT on Veer)
Thanks in advance!
