My Mother Died Today

dezcom's picture

She was 90 and had been having heart problems for the past 30 years. It wasn't unexpected yet, even when you think you have prepared yourself for the inevitable, you are caught unprepared. Her mind was sharp till the end and her sense of humor still shined through. We will miss her.

That really sucks, Chris. I'm sorry to hear it.

(My own mother just went into the hospital for the third time in as many months, and I am certainly increasingly aware of her mortality.)

Oh Chris, I'm so sorry to hear this. And it's so hard (if not impossible) to find words that mean something here… I wish you lots of strength to go through the grief, and in due time, the ability to smile at the sun again. You're in my thoughts.

I know when you think of her right now it hurts. I promise that a day will come when you think of her and you'll be happy; all the good memories will push out the pain of loss.

I'm sorry to say it won't be soon but it will come. My wish for you is that it comes soon and you know how lucky you were.

I am glad it made you smile. I considered making the upper corner figure into a baby by erasing the moustache, beard and glasses and putting o o for the eyes...or better @ @
