Web Design Proposal through email?
Has anyone proposed to businesses through email a website redesign? I'm trying to pick up some more freelance business and am wondering what information should be included in an email, since it is a somewhat informal way to offer your services.

You can use email, but you have to be an exceptional writer, and furthermore you have to somehow figure out what the prospective client really wants, possibly without even realizing it until you tell him. Otherwise the fact that sending an email is so easy will kill your chances.
