French typographic history
i was hoping to learn something about french typography and it's history from some of you. famous typefaces, designers, and such. i'm not looking for anything incredibaly comprehensive, just an introduction. a launching point. thanks.

Well, for starters, you could look at the French perspective on the history of letters at JFP's Typofonderie -- Digging around his site in general will lead you on a wonderful treasure hunt.
