FLAB: Is there a way to subtract overlaps?

In most vector editing programs I can use one contour to remove its shape from another contour. In Illustrator this is the “Subtract From Shape Area” feature. Is there some trick/macro for doing this with Fontlab’s drawing tools?

Get two shapes, both must have a different direction!

Overlap.
Merge contours.

Remove the part you don’t like to have.

That works. I was just hoping that I was overlooking a simpler function. Thanks!

James, while it will work the way Pieter described, you can just right-click on the contour you want to subtrect and select a command from the Contour menu :)

Wow, yes, should that be rather "right-click on a node of the contour you want to subtract"? Thanks, Yuri.
