Looks like most people are on Eastern Standard Time (F), Pacific
Time (C) and Greenwich Mean Time (L). Or so say our traffic logs…

Did you make that chart or did that come from your stats package?

Sorry I’ve had to cut back.

BTW, I can see that “X” is probably mostly New Zealand (not Kamtchatka), but who the hell is “R”?!

Moscow would be “O” at the Easternmost.

Adriano, aren’t Portugal and the UK in the same zone?

BTW, Joe, did you guys get my email about the book jackets?

Is Germany M or L. I can’t decide if I’m the upper left Serif of L or M.

By now I slowly start realizing it’s a sans, oh my god.

Sers

Dominik

P.S.: How many Posts does it take to become a serif?

Well, China is all one time zone, but:
1) I haven’t noticed many typophilers from there.
2) It’s GMT+8 which would make it “T”.

BTW, I think GMT might be “K” and not “L” — but that would still make China “S” not “R”.

ParaType is in St. Petersburg.

FontLab Ltd. is registered in the Cayman Islands, I believe.

I wonder how the stats are generated? Is it by IP address? I live in northern Virginia. We always get a HUGE spike on hits supposedly from here because both UUNET and AOL are here in Fairfax County Virginia (5 miles from me). The trouble is, there are boatloads of people from all over the USA using AOL and generating an Eastern Timezone IP even if they are from Alaska. I’ll bet if you totalled all the Eastern Time hits and subtracted non-eastern AOL and UUNET IPs, you would get a much smaller number.

PS: Either that or us easterners spend too much time online:-)

kris,
>Yes! I think X is entirely me! (or so I like to think!)<

I hear that there is a Tazmanian Devil down there posing as the Hrant of New Zealand but he is not only X, he is XT.

XT mate, XT. Quick traveller. The South-Pacific typedemon!

Is it just me, or does the world seem a lot smaller when you see it like this?

It gives a sense of insecurity being “between L and M” (it seems I’m more “slightly off-L”, anyway). Me, Alessandro Segalini and who?
